Main activities: Teacher Training is part of the Language Teaching Centres unit and runs Cambridge CELTA & the ih Certificate for Young Learners as well as a variety of made-to-measure short courses and Open Days. We also have a video training package for YL teachers.
All trainers are also teachers in ih Madrid (normally in the Language Teaching Centres). Recruitment opportunities occasionally arise for qualified & experienced tutors. Teaching conditions plus training increments apply (e.g. 500 euros supplement per CELTA course).
Staff in the Institute of Teacher Training all hold either a PGCE or RSA Diploma (DELTA) qualification and have, on average, approximately ten years' experience in the teacher training field.
The majority are well established in Madrid -some have worked on state-system collaborations -and have also worked elsewhere in Europe and Asia, in countries such as Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Australia and Indonesia.
